♥ TIESTO Kaleidoscope Worldwide Rave ♥

I went to Bangkok last week on 'Chinese New Year' break.
I'm not Chinese btw just to be clear, caz people have mistaken me a lot. :(
the purpose of the visit this time is to party live with TIESTO^^ yayy~~
it's the Kaleidoscope World Tour.
I really like this album, it has more melody & lyrics than the previous tiesto stuff. 

the rave itself was pretty cool.. set up in the rooftop. 
not exactly rooftop though because the Premium Ticket holder didn't actually get to chill under any roof outside.
me & friends came very early & & there were only very few of people there. we decided to get in anyway.
& that's how I was able to take some pictures.
but as the time flies, more & moreeeee people came, it was impossible to take pictures anymore.
i'm sorry for that. i didn't even get the chance to take some snap of TIESTO himself! lol.
there were too many people & I was up dancing all night^^
I didn't take any personal pictures of my journey that night caz I was just kinda busy havin' fun & didn't even remember to take some pictures. :(

here are some actual videos on set. TIESTO did a lot of remix this time, which kind of a bad thing caz I always like his original stuff. but overall he was pretty rockin' or (trancin') perhaps if that's even a word xD 

he played good stuff from Kaleidoscope that got me good. :)

The King Band of Indie.. Arctic Monkeys new album is officially released TODAY. August 24th 2009.
EXCITEDD!!


me & my bf are their HUGE fans.
my bf ordered their original CD straight from their official website & will be imported from Europe!
i can't wait.. but the package have not come yet until now. huhuu :[


well the album is Co-Produced by Josh Homme (Queens of the Stone Age) & said to be inspired by the albums of Black Sabbath.
so it should & suppose to be good.


as for my personal review as a BIG fan, i think this album is not as 'kicking' as their last 2 album.
maybe i'm just not used to the new songs yet or i'm not used to their new exploration either.
although, it's not a dissapointment at all.
AM is still AM with their genius thoughts of music.


for those of you that have not heard their music at all, i strongly recommend you to listen!
they are totally awesome!

♥ The Tielman Brothers & The Beatles

this is especially a MUST read for every Indonesians.


The Tielman Brothers.. i'm not exactly sure if this band is even well known in Indonesia, their own country.
but they are sure very well known internationally since the 1950's, long before The Beatles and The Rolling Stones.
The Beatles itself was a big fan of The Tielman Brothers, Paul Mccartney said that The Tielman was one of the band that inspired The Beatles. (how cool is that!).


i'm gonna quote some article written by others (since i don't know much) :


"Indo-Rock genre were Indonesian-Dutch bands that combined many many different styles to form one of their own. American Rock 'n' Roll was popular in Europe, but the aggressive style of playing of Indo-Rock bands also has it's roots in Indonesian music. Indonesian music also includes a sort of rock 'n' roll type of music called Krontjong.


Later on, The Beatles meeting one of their idols, Little Richard, in Germany is legendary. Little Richard also met Andy Tielman there and offered Andy a job, which he declined. Little Richard later worked with Jimi Hendrix and told him about this crazy Indonesian guy he saw playing the guitar behind his back - so Andy Tielman very well could have been the inspiration for Jimi's crazy antics, who knows? Also they were pioneers in using the Les Paul guitar - now a rock staple but they were one of the first - and also downtuning their guitars. Downtuning is used in Heavy Metal today - credited to Tony Iommi of Black Sabbath who did it first. Iommi's inspiration for downtuning guitars was probably the Tielman brothers".

heck i didn't even know about this band until now, where i accidently ran through a great arcticle review about the tielman from this blog and this blog , then i double checked in Youtube & Wikipedia article.


the real purpose of this blog is to gives knowledge to all Indonesians that we used to have a LEGENDARY band that was very well known & respected internationally.
It's part of history so be proud about itt!!
This badd-ass band are definetely badd ass!! =x


gak disangka2 kan band produksi dalam negeri bisa berjaya segitu hebatnya.
jadi jangan lo sangka, the beatles aja terinsipirasi sama the tielman, skill gitarnya jimi hendrix dari jauh2 hari udah dikuasai sm the tielman sebelumnya. bukan gak mungkin si jimi hendrix malah belajar dari the tielman. bangga gak sihh kita?


makanya sebagai warga indo, malu kan kalo cuma taunya the beatles doang.. bangga2in the beatles doang sedangkan band EDAN dalam negeri kga pernah denger sama sekali.
EDAN lohh menurut gue, main gitar segala pake stick drum, pake kaki, pake 2 jari. mantapp lahh.

pfffhh been expecting it since i don't know when.
YES YES babiess.. THE YEAH YEAH YEAHS IS BACK!!
the new yorkers rocker bringing it all down for you ripping off the cool tunes that will dance you off the floor and rock the fakk out.
the band leads by the strong female lead-singer, Karen O put on killers song that without the hesitation is the most fun album they got so far.
Three albums and an E.P down and they are not yet to disappoint me.


TRUST ME, this band ROCKKKKKKKKKKKKSSSSSS.
& i am fakking loving itt.

Santogold or Santigold..


Talented new artist!. She is a mucician,a songwriter,and also a producer.
The first time I heard her was in Gossip Girl Soundtrack,there were one of the scene that play her song 'Shove It' in the background. It was soo catchy that I had to google that song. After Shove It,I listened to her other songs,& it was just worth to hear if you're looking for something fresh and catchy,even though my BF finds it a bit annoying for him. =(
Her unique music is categorized kind of into rock, new wave, post-punk, electronic, and dub in the same time,or *electro-pop in my perspective. She has been compared a lot with M.I.A & Karen O from the Yeah Yeah Yeahs (which is one of my most fav band of all time!).
She is Santi White better known by her former stage name as Santogold or (now) Santigold.
She is best known for her single.. ♥ L.E.S Artistes & The Creator. You can see her official video right now in YouTube.
Personally,I like her other songs which are..

The other talented & unique artist that I'm listening to right now is..
Lykke Li, a swedish indie singer.

She is magnetic!!. I simply confused how to categorized her music. Lykke Li came to my playlist while I was reading the review of her in one of the Radio station.
