Meet Elisha Jean from The Cutting Cafe!!

Hi everyone! We've made it half way through the week and we're on the downhill slide now! Can you belivee they are talking SNOW tonight? I'm so sick of the white stuff (just like all the rest of you). But to go from 70 deg weather two days ago to a high in the 40's, lows in the 20's, and snow on the valley floor tonight. YUCK!!! I will say though that this is very typical for spring weather in Reno. So onward and upward, right?  Now how about we take a peek at this card! Is she not the cutest little thang you ever have seen??!!! Her name is Elisha Jean and she's a brand new digital image my good friend and adopted sis Regina has released. I LOVE her! She and two of her friends are available for purchase right now over at The Cutting Cafe!  For my card, I used Bazzill cardstock and the DP is from My Minds Eye.

I added some Wild Orchid Crafts flowers edges in some Crystal Stickles with the Martha Stewart frond punch. I honestly can't remember where I got the lace from, but it was either from Stamp and Create or Wild Orchid Crafts. The ribbon is also from Stamp and Create as are the Kaiser pearls and that pretty little heart charm. The magnificent glittered heart is from Melissa Frances (looooove them!!). There's lots of machine stitching and lots of dimension too.  Elisha Jean is colored with Copic markers.

The Cutting Cafe Sun Shaped card

Hi everyone! Hope your enjoying your day! I sure am as it's a three day weekend for me! I wanted to show you what is probably my last summery card for this year. I used this awesome sun shaped card from The Cutting Cafe. It comes along with an envelope and some sentiments especially made for this set as well! I cut it with a base of Bazzill cardstock, and then cut the front with polka dot paper from PTI. Reginal also just released an awesome new set called You're in my thoughts greetings inside and out. Wow! This set contains 65 sentiments for both the inside and out of your cards!! AWESOME! Be sure to check it out! Magnolia-licious blog hop Nautical - Sail away with me!

Hi everyone! I sure hope you had a fabulous weekend, and today, Magnolia-licious is having a nautical themed blog hop! How fun! Especially with all the adorable nautical themed stamps that Magnolia has released lately! If you arrived here from the amazingly talented Janiel, then you're on the right track. If not, you will want to go back to the start with the uber talented Cheryl! If you lose your way, just go to Magnolia-licious Highlites to continue on your journey through the hop.   I chose to use one of the cutest Edwins that I think they've ever released. He's Dangling Sea Edwin from the brand new "Bon Voyage" collection which is available for preorder right now at Magnolia-licious!  I also used #413 Pelican, and #739 "The tide always turns" sentiment. As soon as I received this Edwin, I knew I wanted to put him on a boat shaped easel card. 

And fortunately, I had the perfect shaped card to accomplish that task!! The Cutting Cafe' has this adorable sail boat shaped card, so I just cut it out and turned it into an easel card. EASY PEASY!! Isn't it too cute?? It even comes with an envelope template!  I knew I couldn't use a paper with a busy pattern because Edwin would just get lost in the background. So I picked a nice and simple red and white polka dot digital paper along with some white and blue Bazzil cardstock to stay in the nautical theme.

When I made the easel card, because the top portion of the card is the narrow mast, I wanted to reinforce it so it wouldn't sag down from all the weight of the card front. So I just cut four strips of heavy cardstock that were a little narrower than the mast, glued them on top of each other, and attached it to the back of the card. It worked perfectly and added a lot of strength to the card. The stamps are colored with Copic markers, and Edwin is popped up from the card with dimensional tape.

Finally, I added a big white button topped off with a red gingham bow for the easel to rest against. That was it! Now for some fun stuff! New teapot files from The Cutting Cafe!

Happy Saturday! Hope you're enjoying your weekend and that your weather is fabulous! I threw together an adorable card with a couple new files that are available over at The Cutting Cafe'. I used the new Teapot shaped cards which comes with two different shaped teapots. And then I used the Tea Time images for the circle sentiment. I just sized it to fit the way I wanted it to, and then cut it out with circle Nestabilities. That's the most awesome part about digital stamps! You can make them any size you need. I cut the heart using my Cricut and Plantin Schoolbook cartridge through my fabulous Gypsy. And then glued a teapot charm in the center of it. I also hung a cherry charm from the bow made with May Arts Silk Ribbon. New Files at The Cutting Cafe'! Cute Critters!

Oh my gosh, have you seen the new files over at The Cutting Cafe' called Cute Critters??!! If not, you've GOT to run over there and see this set! I'm in love with it! Isn't this the cutest ladybug you've just about ever seen? I just enlarged her to the size I wanted, printed her off, and colored her with Copic markers. I cut her out with circle Nesties and then backed it with one of my new Martha Stewart border punches. Added one of the sentments from the set and some pretty Wild Orchid Crafts flowers along with a silk bow, and that was it!

And you want to know the best part about all of this?? Regina is letting me give one of these sets away! Hi everyone! Time to go back to work after a long weekend. I wanted to make one more card this weekend, so I made a quick one from an awesome set of stamps from The Cutting Cafe' called Beautiful Trees. I printed it out and colored it with Copic markers. Then cut it out and popped it up from a circle cut with my Nestabilities. The papers are digital and the cardstock is Bazzill. The sentiment was printed from my computer and I added some machine stitching and some doodling. Added a punched border at the bottom, and that was it! Papertake Weekly - Easter challenge

Happy Tuesday everyone! It's time for a new challenge over at Papertake Weekly, and this week, it's an Easter Theme that is being sponsored by Simon Says Stamp. I've been waiting for a week to post this card. This is one of those that I absolutely love and couldn't wait to show you!! LOL! I used three of the new stamps from the Hoppy Easter/Spring collection available at Magnolia-licious. I used #3032 Little Bunny Tilda (one of my new favorites), #449 Big Hoppy, and #650 Spring Fence. I stamped Little Bunny Tilda an extra time cause I wanted a matching ribbon for around Big Hoppy's neck. This reminds me of the Lucille Ball and Harpo Marx episode of I Love Lucy. LOL!

Both Little Bunny Tilda and Big Hoppy are cut out and popped up on dimensional tape. All the stamps are colored with Copic markers. The sentiment is from The Cutting Cafe' from a set called Happy Easter Inside and Out Greetings Printable Stamps. This set is packed full of Easter Greetings for all your needs! The papers are all digital from Nitwits in a set called The Carrot Patch. I added a silk bow made with my Bow Easy, and hung a cute bunny charm from it.

Tilda with presents with The Cutting Cafe'

Happy Sunday everyone! Hope you're enjoying the weekend! The weather is beautiful here in sunny Reno today! This card was so quick and easy to put together! I was really quite surprised at just how quick and easy it was. I used one of the brand new Tilda stamps I received from Diana at Magnolia-licious. She's #249 Tilda with Gifts and is available for preorder right now! Please remember - do NOT purchase pre-order stamps with in stock stamps!!

The cute background paper is from The Cutting Cafe'! Isn't is so colorful and fun??!! It's from the Assorted Colored Birthday Celebration background stamp and I love it!!! I just printed it up and matted it with my different colored Bazzill cardstock. Easy Peasy!!!

I used my Nestabilites to mount Tilda on after I colored her with Copic markers and cut her out. She' mounted with dimensional tape and so is the scalloped mat that she's on. Added some pretty little flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts, some gorgeous silk ribbon from Stamp and Create made with my Bow Easy, and some leaves from my Martha Stewart frond punch, and this one was done! I used another sheet from The Cutting Cafe' inside the card as well.

Espressly for you! Some new files from The Cutting Cafe'

Happy Sunday everyone! I hope you're enjoying your weekend! The sun is shining beautifully here in sunny Reno! Today, I 've got a card made with some new files from The Cutting Cafe'! I do love my coffee, and that's what these files are all about. First I used the Coffee Cup Shaped Card! Isn't it awesome??!! I love it! I cut it out in Bazzill cardstock, and then cut the front out again with some Graphic 45 paper. I just adore this paper and bought so many sheets when I first saw it! The trim and tag are done with the reverse side of the paper.

Then I printed out one of the circle sentiments from the new file called Got Coffee! LOVE these new files from Regina! I just cut the circle sentiment out with my nesties, colored the cup with some Copic markers and dirtied up the edges a little with some Jumbo Java chalk ink. It's popped up from the cup with some dimensional tape. Finally I added some mini roses from Wild Orchid Crafts along with some leaves as well. Added a small organza bow made with my Bow Easy, and this on was done. I just love the way it turned out! The coffee cup shaped card even comes with an envelope you can make for it too! Some Bunny Loves You - A new Papertake Weekly challenge

I know you're not goin to see this until Tuesday, but it's Monday now and the finale of The Bachelor is on in just an hour and a half! I don't know what's going to happen, but I'm wondering if he's going to end up not choosing either one. I don't know. Can't wait to see what happens! With it being Tuesday, that means it's time for a new Papertake Weekly challenge. This week, Dawny's challenge is Buttons, Bows, Brads, and Bling and we're being sponsored by Truly Scrumptious! I chose to use this absolutely adorable stamp from Wags 'n Whiskers called Some Bunny Loves You. Are they not the most precious set of bunnies?? I love them! They're colored with Copic markers. The sentiment is from The Cutting Cafe' in a set called Easter Sentiments. That lucious ribbon is silk and is available at Stamp and Create along with the Bow Easy.

I have to be honest and say that I really do not like the way this card turned out. I just could not get it balanced. I made the mistake of attaching the image and ribbon before anything else. And that was the end of me. I couldn't get anything else to look right with it. Oh well....such is life. I still LOVE the image. LOL!

Easter Basket set from The Cutting Cafe' plus a card drive!

Hi everyone! Hope you've enjoyed your weekend! Believe it or not, we got 18 inches of unexpected snow last night! LOL! It's a winter wonderland out there! And we had 60 deg weather all last week! It got me in the mood for spring, and then Mother Nature just yelled "PSYCH" at me this morning when I got up! LOL! Oh well...what else can I expect for February in Reno? Enough about the weather. I've got to tell you about all the FABULOUS new Easter files that Regina has over at The Cutting Cafe'!!! This on is the Easter Basket Set, and it's just one of many that she has just released, and I love it! It's the cutest little treat basket you could ever want to find and it cuts and goes together in the blink of an eye! Sooooo easy!! And it's the perfect size to just give someon a little treat. This one has six of the dark chocolate Dove squares inside it!! That's a lot of chocolate! Happy weekend!! YAY!! Ok, have you seen the new scalloped set over at The Cutting Cafe'???? Oh my gosh, I am going to be using this set a LOT!! This scalloped card is just one scallop edge that comes in this set of 15!! I love this card, but it was designed for an A2 size card and I wanted bigger. So I just made it bigger and cut it with my Pazzle. Worked beautifully!! Or you can just print it onto your paper you want to use and you can cut it out yourself with the pdf file. So don't feel limited if it's not the size you want. Just change it! Try to keep the same proportions though, or the scallops will get distorted. In other words, increase or decrease the sides equally if all sides are scalloped. I also used the All About Valentine's Day set for the You and Me that is printed inside the heart.

Woohoo! We made it through Monday! It always feels so good to have Monday done and over with! Oh! And Monday's are the night for Bachelor!! Anyone else watching it?? I just love Jake! He's one smart man, and he seems to know those chickies pretty well. I got so tickled last week when he called that one girl out for teasing him about the whole kissing deal! Heart shaped card from The Cutting Cafe' and Magnolia-licious blog hop winner!!!

Good morning everyone! Hope you're enjoying your weekend! I ended up spending a couple hours in the ER last night with my poor hubby that rolled his ankle for the third time. He finally caved and said he needed to have it x-rayed when he couldn't walk anymore. Poor guy has bone spurs on his right foot, and then rolled his left ankle, so he was a pitiful sight last night. Anyway, it turned out to be a high ankle sprain, so he's relieved it's not broken. He's still limping this morning, but doing ok. Enough about that - it's time to move on to the FUN stuff!! Regina over at The Cutting Cafe' just released a bunch of new files, and among them is this adorable Heart Accordian Set with envelope. It comes with an accordian heart shaped card, as well as this heart folded card!! I love her cutting files! But if you don't have a machine where you can utilize her wpc files, they also come in pdf files so you just have to cut them out with your scissors,. Love Birds - The Cutting Cafe'

Hi everyone and happy hump day! YAY! We're half way through the week! I hope it's going well for you. This is just a quick post to show you a card I made with one of Regina's new Valentine files from The Cutting Cafe' called Little Love Birds. Isn't it too cute? I just printed it out and colored it with my Copic markers. The papers are all scraps from a card you won't see until tomorrow.... Soooooo I guess to you they wouldn't be scraps yet, would they! *smiles* That's a fun one to think about. LOL!

The scalloped card I made using my Cricut Expression and Gypsy, along with the Plantin Schoolbook and Mini Monograms carts. All of which I got from Hallmark Scrapbook!!

Wags 'n Whiskers - a non red Valentine!

Hi everyone! After a very nice rest, it's time for a new Wags 'n Whiskers challenge. I love each and every one of these stamps, so it doesn't matter which one I pick, cause by the time I'm done coloring it, it's my new favorite! This weeks challenge is brought to us by the fabulously talented Kristine. And she asked us to make a Valentine card that is not red. So first I decided to use this "too cute for words" stamp called Steal A Kiss! Is it not wonderful? I colored it with my Copic markers.

Papertake Weekly - new beginnings or new stash!!!

WEll, I made it through Monday, and gosh almighty was it ever Monday! I'm just really glad the day is over and we've moved on to Tuesday. And that means it's time for a new challenge at Papertake Weekly! This week, the challenge is to use your new stash ! FUN! The challenge is being sponsored by The Stamping Boutique, and they graciously gave the DT some fun images to play with. I chose this adorable little girl called Audrey's new dress. I fell in love with her immediately!

So what new stash did I use...let's see....the paper is new, that beautiful glittery brad in the center of the bow is from my new stash. Oh! And I used a brand new Martha Stewart border punch, too! See that adorable LOVE BUG border? That's new too, and from a new stamp set from The Cutting Cafe' called Valentine Long Phrases. I can tell you I will probably be using the heck out of this one! It's got a ladybug on it!! LOL! I messed up on my card though. After I was done gluing everything together, I realized I should have put a black mat under the main red mat, but it was too late. SIGH! Don't you just HATE it when that happens?? It would have added a LOT more oomph to the card. Oh well....such is life.
