Beirut, (SANA) – The Journalist Ghassan Ben Jeddo on Thursday stressed that targeting Syria means targeting the resistance, expressing support to Syria's pan-Arab stance and hoping the situation would be stable to start a national dialogue serving the interest of the Syrian people.
In a statement to the Lebanese As-Safir newspaper, Ben Jeddo said "those who participated in any region of the world, without exceptions, in escalating tension will bear the responsibility before God.
Ben Jedo revealed his concerns about the situation in the region as a whole in the next stage, fearing sectarian and ethnic seditions.
He said "he won't stay in al-Jazeera channel although his job contract provides for working two months after submitting the resignation.
As-Safir published the resignation of Ben Jeddo last Saturday. Ben Jeddo said the reason behind his resignation was that al Jazeera professionalism resorted to gutter journalism, which has turned Al Jazeera from a media source to the operations room for incitement and mobilization.
In a statement to the Tunisian newspaper el-Shorouk, Ben Jeddo attributed his resignation from al-Jazeera TV to the way the channel is dealing with the events in the region including Syria.
