What is happening in Wisconsin is the presage of things to come
What is happening in Wisconsin is a very small sample…a preliminary of things to come. As more people get hurt by the Republican Teahadist actions they will spill out into the streets. We have seen how powerful a demonstration can be and what changes it can bring…we just witnessed it in Tunisia and Egypt. But in America, pampered, privilege and affluent; things are a lot different. Americans have to really be hurt in their pocketbooks to react, to actually take some time away from their catatonic state of non participation. True, it is partially their fault first because there were many who didn’t go out to vote in the last elections…they were just not “enthusiastic” enough. Then there were those who actually bought into the lies, the demagoguery and distortions coming from Republicans via their very own cable channel Fox.
For the longest time nobody ever spoke of who and what were behind all these Tea Party “grassroots” efforts. It is my opinion that they were being organized and funded by the Koch brothers and now their names keep popping up much to their chagrin. The harm that is being inflicted upon the poor and the middle class is catching up to people. And they are pissed enough to take to the streets.
