ADMINISTER A LITERACY TEST TO WOULD-BE POLITICIANS

THAT WAY WE WOULD AVOID THE SARAH PALINS AND CHRISTINE O’DONNELLS

What if we were to require two things of politicians: One a High School Diploma or GED and two: to pass a literacy test.

In the literacy test we could have simple questions like:

1 The capital city of Afghanistan is? KABUL

2 The capital city of Turkey is? ANKARA (Traditional English: Angora, not Istanbul)

3 The language spoken in Brazil is A-Spanish B-Portuguese – Answer: B

4 Were there Weapons of Mass Destruction in Iraq before the US invasion? A-Yes B-No –Answer: B

5 Was President Obama born in A-Hawaii, B-Kenya, C-Tasmania; Answer: A

6 The Founding Fathers wanted America to be a religious Evangelical Theocracy. A-Yes, B-No. Answer: No

7 Corporations should be considered the same as human beings under the Constitution. A-Yes B-No. Answer: No.

8 The age of the world is estimated to be: A- 6,000 years old, B-4.5 billion years old. Answer: B

9 When government gives tax cuts to the very rich and the corporations the money will filter down to the general population. A-Yes B-No. Answer: No, TRICKLE DOWN ECONOMICS never worked, never will.

10 If you insert a penis in a vagina you are: A- morally superior, B-heterosexual, C-Horny as hell. Answer: C, horny as hell.

In my opinion just getting a couple of these questions wrong would deem a candidate for office unqualified…even if it for dog catcher.
