So the two security guards who guarded the gate to your walled in secured community just quit…they couldn’t see risking their lives for $5.00 an hour. Your maid and your cleaning ladies…they didn’t come to work today because there is no public transportation; besides, your maid has three young ones at home and no public school to send them to.
Very well, then, you decide you are going to cook dinner yourself. You get in your car and it is low on gas; you go to the service station and it is 1970’s all over again…the lines are two blocks long. Then you finally get to the pump and the price is $12.00 per gallon. It doesn’t matter, you have the money…cash even because the credit card doesn’t work anymore…ATMs and credit cards have lost their relevancy in view of the fact that nobody is paying their monthly bills…
Then you get to the grocery store and it is closed…because it was looted last night…the shelves are empty anyhow if they had been open there would have been nothing for you to buy except Twinkies. So you drive down a ways and see a convenience store…you pull in and you gather some stuff you can
make a meal out of…Ragu, some three day old bread, some sodas and you go to pay and some hoodlums come barging in to rob the place…they throw you to the floor and take your wallet. They shoot the convenience store attendant in the arm…the police are called and nobody comes…they had been laid off two weeks ago because the city where you live is broke.
So you put a bandage on the guy and drive him to the hospital, you still have the groceries, if you can call them 
that and you drive home. You turn on the gas…it is not there. NO MORE GAS for cooking or heating your water. That is ok…you have a crock pot and you put in the Ragu and wait, and wait, and six hours later the electricity goes out…comes back and it is out again. Now you are in the dark, the food is barely warm and you eat it as tears roll down your eyes.
You begin to think about it and analyze it…you have a lot of blame for the situation…after all, you voted Republican in 2010 and then you even worked in the campaign to elect Tea Party candidate Sarah Palin. You insisted that the middle class had to pay more…they have to be milked out of every tax dollar possible. The poor…well, those low-life bastards, they have to be exploited…they don’t deserve the time of day. You are above all that…your income is well over a million a year and you don’t want to part with your money…so that the Bush tax cuts were extended and now the national debt is exploding worse than before….but you don’t care…you got what you wanted…NO MORE TAXES!
You were right….you insisted on your Second Amendment right to keep and bear arms…but if you really think about it…are you going to kill somebody that comes into your gated community? You could kill a dozen….two dozen…but a whole crowd? They overrun your community and that night, the Ragu and stale bread will not be your night’s meal…they will be going to some kid in the ghetto who hadn’t eaten in two days…
The choice is yours…be selfish, be stubborn, be unfair and keep voting Republican…it will all catch up with us…ALL OF US
