DID YOU GET ANY OF THAT MONEY? I SURE DIDN’T
Are the Republicans counting on the American people coming down with a case of mass amnesia? We are now hearing them using the “BAILOUTS” as one of the talking points in their political campaign. First they were for it…now they are opposed to it.
All you need to know is that it was Bush’s BAILOUT for the banks, Wall Street, some corporations and his super rich cronies. The Republicans pushed as the cure all and without it America should have sunk into financial ruin.
We also know that it was those very rich; the bankers and the Wall Street types who got a hold of that money…borrowed from the Chinese and others so they could get generous bonuses and rewards for having driven their companies into bankruptcy and the economy into a tailspin.
I didn’t get any of that money…did you? Now the Republicans are trying to make it sound like this was one of President Obama’s initiatives, one that has failed miserably and all blame should go to him.
Many Americans are worried that, somehow, in the unfathomable complexity of it all, they might end up losing their savings, their jobs or even their homes as a result of the still-unfolding mega-crisis in the banking and financial-services sector, a meltdown that started on Wall Street and continues to exert a worldwide impact. How far will the damage it has engendered spread? But there will not be any bail-outs for us the middle class or for the poor as some of us who have already lost our jobs, our homes and our savings have found out. But please, Republicans, don’t insult us by telling us that it is something President Obama has done.
